Garmont Vetta Evo GTX Approach Shoes Black/Yellow

Technical terrain demands a shoe that balances precision, durability, and all-weather protection—and the Garmont Vetta Evo GTX delivers exactly that. Unlike standard hiking footwear, this approach shoe is built for vertical ambitions: via ferrata, scrambling, and light trekking on mixed rock and trail. The 1.8mm suede leather upper with a full rubber rand shrugs off abrasion, while the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry without overheating. Underfoot, the Vibram® Apex outsole bites into rock and loose ground, and the dual-density EVA midsole absorbs shock on long descents. Garmont's ADD® fit and Heel Lock system wrap the foot securely, eliminating slippage when edging or smearing.

Highlights

• GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort waterproof membrane for breathable dryness
• Vibram® Apex outsole for exceptional grip on rock, scree, and mixed terrain
• 1.8mm suede leather upper with protective rubber rand and toe cap
• Dual-density EVA midsole for cushioning and stability
• Ortholite® UltraLite footbed for moisture management and long-lasting comfort
• Extended lacing system and Heel Lock for a precise, slip-free fit

In daily use

From the first step, the Vetta Evo GTX feels secure and responsive. The board-lasted construction provides torsional rigidity for edging on small holds, while the medium flex keeps the shoe comfortable on approach trails. The GORE-TEX® lining handles stream crossings and sudden showers, and the suede upper dries quickly. The Ortholite® footbed resists compression over time, so the fit remains consistent season after season. Whether you're climbing a via ferrata, scrambling a ridge, or hiking to a crag, this shoe transitions seamlessly between rock and trail.
