Freestanding DIGITUS Unique Series network rack with 42U capacity and an 800 x 800 mm footprint, designed for server and networking equipment in offices and data centers. The cabinet is fully assembled and built from up to 1.5 mm sheet steel with electrostatic powder coating in grey (RAL 7035). It features adjustable 19" profile rails, removable side panels and doors, a special removable roof cover with ventilation slits and a roof structure prepared for a fan unit, sliding cable entry with rubber sealing at the base, and a lock system on the front door with a pivot lever (adapter for profile half cylinder included). The rack supports an 800 kg load and provides organized cable management and good airflow for mounted equipment.

How to use

Place the freestanding cabinet on a level surface and secure it according to local regulations if required. Adjust the 19" profile rails to the appropriate mounting depth (max 743 mm) and fix them for each device. Route power and network cables through the sliding cable entry or brush-equipped inlets in the roof and floor, using the built-in cable management features and vertical cable channels where available. Mount servers, switches and patch panels to the labeled rack units using standard 19" mounting hardware. Use the removable side panels and doors for easier access during installation and service. Install fan modules in the specially designed roof area if additional active ventilation is needed.

Recommendations

For optimal airflow and cooling, combine the perforated front door and removable roof cover with appropriately positioned fans and maintain clear front-to-back airflow. Distribute weight evenly across the rack and follow the maximum mounting depth and load limits. Keep cable entries sealed with the included rubber/foam seals to maintain orderly cabling and reduce dust ingress.
