The Targus Edge-to-Edge Privacy Screen is designed to fit 15.6-inch laptops with 16:9 ratio infinity screens (approx. panel size 35.3 x 20.2 cm). To protect your information, tiny vertical blinds on the surface of the privacy screen narrow the viewing angle so data is only visible directly in front of the monitor up to 30 degrees away from the centre of the screen. Onlookers will only see a dark unclear screen when attempting to view the information from a side angle. In addition to providing security, the screen also blocks the glare to help reduce eye strain. The Targus Laptop Privacy Screen can be easily attached by using clear adhesive strips designed for LCD filters or with the included tab guides that stick to the edge of the LCD bezel to hold the screen in place. Users can also position the tabs so the screen easily slides on and off. Three Easy Installation Options
Quickly and easily attach the screen directly to your display using any of the three convenient installation options.

Long adhesive strips: stick on to the LCD screen for a firm, fixed hold.

Hinge tabs: shallow hinges along the top edge of the notebook frame (the bezel) to hold privacy filter in place.

Flip hinges: attach to the top of the privacy screen and over the top of the laptop to create a seamless on/off experience with a simple flip. Use the included adhesive lift tab, to easily flip from privacy mode to public mode without fingerprints.

How to use

Choose one of the three installation methods: attach long adhesive strips directly to the LCD for a fixed fit, apply hinge tabs along the top bezel for a shallow-hinge mounting, or use flip hinges to allow a quick flip on/off action. The included adhesive lift tab helps remove fingerprints when switching from privacy mode to public mode. Align the filter with the screen edges and secure the chosen tabs or strips; if using removable tabs, position them so the filter slides on and off easily.

Recommendations

Use the matte side when working in bright environments to reduce glare, and the glossy side when maximum clarity is required. Replace adhesive strips or tabs if they lose adhesion, and clean the filter with a soft, lint-free cloth and manufacturer-recommended cleaner to maintain visibility and privacy performance.
