EK-Quantum Torque HDC 12 fittings are minimalistic 12 mm hard-tube compression fittings for solid tubing such as acrylic and PETG. The fitting body is CNC-machined from brass, nickel-plated and finished with genuine gold plating; seals are rubber O-rings. This particular variant is a compact brass fitting with a total height of 15 mm and an outer diameter of approximately 20 mm, intended for use in PC liquid cooling loops and is compatible with the EK-Quantum Torque family of adapters, extenders and accessories.

Advantages

The design offers a low-profile, non-branded appearance with interchangeable aesthetic color rings (sold separately). The locking/compression ring secures solid tubing by compressing an internal rubber gasket, while external grooves make hand tightening easier. The barb and compression components are precision machined from brass and plated for corrosion resistance and visual consistency. How to use

Slide the aesthetic ring (if used) onto the fitting and screw it on before fitting the compression locking ring. Insert the cut-to-length 12 mm hard tubing (acrylic or PETG) into the fitting until it seats against the barb. Screw the compression locking ring down to compress the internal rubber gasket and secure the tube. Use a 9 mm Allen key in the barb’s internal hex socket to hold or tighten the fitting where necessary; avoid using excessive torque to prevent damage to nearby components.

Recommendations

Use a proper 9 mm Allen key (sold separately) to tighten or hold the fitting during installation to protect fingertips and to avoid over-torquing. Do not use the fitting on soft or flexible tubing types intended for soft compression fittings. Aesthetic rings are sold separately and should be installed before the compression ring.
