Mounting lightweight fixtures onto insulated facades often means compromising the insulation layer or struggling with unstable fixings. The Fischer FID II Plus insulation anchor solves this by providing a secure, thermal-bridge-free hold directly in the insulation, without pre-drilling.

Who is it for

Ideal for installers and DIYers attaching letterboxes, lamps, motion detectors, signs, or downpipes to insulated exterior walls. It works with pressure-resistant insulation boards such as polystyrene, mineral wool, and PU boards, and suits base materials like concrete, solid brick, sand-lime brick, aerated concrete, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboards, and wood-based panels.

Tips

Ensure the insulation board is pressure-resistant and at least 50 mm thick. Use a screwdriver with TX25 bit and select a screw length that accounts for the fixture thickness plus the anchor embedment.
