Extension cord AS Schwabe 60565, 10 m, 1 AC outlet, indoor/outdoor, IP44

AS Schwabe 60565 is a 10 m extension cord with one AC outlet designed for indoor and outdoor use where IP44 splash protection is required. The cable provides a temporary power connection for household appliances, power tools and garden equipment. Its length and single-outlet design make it practical for extending mains power to terraces, balconies, garages and light-duty work sites while offering basic protection against water splashes and solid objects larger than 1 mm.

Advantages

The extension cord combines a durable outer sheath with IP44-rated protection to resist splashes from any direction and prevent access to hazardous parts. A compact single-outlet block reduces clutter and allows safe connection of one device at a time. The 10 m length increases working range without requiring multiple cables, and the cable is suitable for both indoor and outdoor deployments when placed on stable, non-submerged surfaces.

How to use

Connect the extension cord to a properly installed and protected mains outlet. Place the extension cable and outlet block on a stable surface protected from direct heavy rainfall and avoid submersion. Plug the device into the single AC outlet and ensure the connected appliance matches the supply voltage and current rating of the mains circuit. After use, unplug the device, coil the cable loosely and store it in a dry place.

Recommendations

Do not use the extension cord for permanently installed equipment or in locations where it would be submerged in water. Avoid overloading the single outlet by checking the power consumption of connected devices. Inspect the cable for damage before each use and replace if the sheath, plug or outlet shows wear. For long-term outdoor installations consult a qualified electrician and use fixed wiring or professionally installed outdoor outlets where appropriate.
