Multi-sensor ELSYS ERS EYE Temperature Humidity Light Motion Occupancy

ERS2 Eye is a wireless LoRaWAN sensor for indoor environments that measures room occupancy, temperature, humidity, light level and motion (PIR). The device has a compact Scandinavian design and is intended for use in offices, public spaces and homes. It runs on two AA 3.6V lithium batteries and offers long battery life; batteries are not included.

How to use

Mount the sensor on a wall or flat surface at a suitable height for occupancy detection. Install two AA 3.6V lithium batteries, power on the device and register it in your LoRaWAN network. Configure sampling intervals, triggers and encryption keys either by holding an NFC-enabled smartphone near the device or by sending downlink configuration commands from your network server. Place the sensor where it has an unobstructed view of the monitored area for accurate occupancy and motion detection.

Recommendations

For reliable occupancy detection, position the sensor so its IR detector faces the area where people are most likely to be. Avoid pointing the device directly at heat sources or in direct sunlight. Choose sampling rates and transmission intervals that balance timely data with battery life according to your monitoring needs.
