The GIRA 260565 keypad is designed for installation in a device box and can operate as a stand-alone access control unit or integrated into the Gira door communication system. It provides capacitive, wear-free buttons with blue LED illumination for night visibility, supports up to 255 user codes with a maximum length of 32 digits, and offers two zero-voltage relay outputs for switching actions such as door openers or external loads.

How to use

Install the keypad in a standard device box and connect the two power supply terminals. For standalone operation, wire the relay contacts to the door opener or other external device with its own power source. Configure the device directly using the integrated programming interface: set administrator and user PINs, assign codes to the two relay functions as required, and use the special buttons (C to delete, Key to open on correct code, Bell to select home stations in larger setups, F for switching functions) during normal operation. The master PIN on the sealed safety card allows recovery if the administrator PIN is lost.

Recommendations

Use compatible power supplies and actuators rated for the specified relay load (AC/DC 24 V, 1.6 A). Place the keypad in a sheltered location or ensure proper IP44-compliant installation to maintain weather protection. Regularly record master and administrator PINs in a secure location and test tamper detection and LED status indications during commissioning.
