Dry rope Hummingbird eco 9.2 mm, 60 m length, single dynamic climbing rope

The Dry rope Hummingbird eco 9.2 mm, 60 m length, single dynamic climbing rope is a lightweight single rope engineered for climbers who need a thin, manageable line for sport, trad and alpine routes. The rope incorporates dry treatment on both sheath and core to reduce water uptake and maintain handling characteristics in damp or snowy conditions. With a 9.2 mm diameter and 60 m length, the rope is designed to balance low weight and durability while remaining suitable for lead climbing, belaying and rope access tasks where a single dynamic rope is required.

Advantages

The dry-treated sheath and core minimize water absorption and preserve dynamic performance and handling in wet or high-humidity environments. The 9.2 mm diameter provides a lighter carry weight and smaller pack volume compared with thicker single ropes while maintaining acceptable fall performance for its class. The rope's construction offers smooth handling for clipping, belaying and knot tying, and the combination of thin profile and dry treatment makes it advantageous for alpine approaches and multi-pitch routes where reduced weight and weather resistance are important.

How to use

Inspect the rope visually and by hand before each use for abrasion, cuts, core exposures or other damage. Lay out the rope to check for kinks and to ensure the middle and ends are clearly identified before starting a climb. Use appropriate climbing hardware and belay devices compatible with a 9.2 mm single rope; follow manufacturer instructions for those devices. When lead climbing, clip cleanly and manage rope drag; when lowering or belaying from above, maintain clear communication with your partner and use controlled friction. After exposure to wet or dirty conditions, clean and dry the rope according to care guidelines to restore handling and prolong service life.

Recommendations

Store the rope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and chemicals. For safe long-term use, follow regular inspections and retire the rope according to visible wear, impact loads, or manufacturer lifespan recommendations. Consider using a proper rope bag and avoid stepping on the rope to reduce abrasion and contamination.
