Ducky One 3 Yellow Mini Keyboard Gaming USB German Mechanical RGB

The Ducky One 3 Yellow Mini is a compact wired mechanical gaming keyboard with a USB Type-C connection, hot-swappable Kailh sockets, and RGB backlighting. Constructed with true PBT double-shot keycaps and a frosted finish, the keyboard is built for durability, consistent legend visibility and resistance to shine and staining. The design includes optimized weight distribution, lowered case height, multi-layer acoustic padding and an EVA foam layer under the PCB to improve sound characteristics and reduce unwanted noise. A dual-layer PCB supports stable signal transmission and N-key or 6-key rollover, while two-step feet provide three tilt angles for ergonomic adjustment. The keyboard uses USB HID at a 1000 Hz polling rate for responsive input suitable for gaming and fast typing.

Advantages

True PBT double-shot keycaps ensure legends remain clear and do not fade; the frosted surface resists shine and stains. Hot-swap Kailh sockets allow tool-free switch changes for easy customization. Multi-layer padding plus an EVA foam layer under the PCB refines acoustics and reduces extraneous noise. Optimized weight distribution and lowered case height improve stability during intense use. The detachable USB Type-C cable with 1000 Hz polling and a dual-layer PCB provide reliable, low-latency performance and increased longevity.

Suitable for

• PC and laptop gaming (fast-response mechanical input)
• Users who customize switches without soldering (hot-swappable)
• Compact desktop setups and portable gaming stations
• Typing and productivity where durable legends and tactile switches are preferred

If you wish to change switches, ensure the keyboard is unplugged, then press a switch puller over the switch and pull straight up to remove; align and press a compatible Kailh hot-swap switch into the socket until it seats fully. Adjust the keyboard angle using the two-step feet on the underside. Configure RGB lighting and any available onboard functions according to the Ducky manual or software if provided.

Recommendations

For best acoustic performance and longevity, use compatible mechanical switches and avoid exposing the PBT keycaps to harsh chemicals or prolonged direct sunlight. When swapping switches, handle the PCB and sockets gently to prevent damage to the hot-swap sockets.
