Ajax DoorProtect Plus Wireless in white is a compact door and window opening detector designed for integration with Ajax security systems. The sensor measures 20×20×90 mm and uses RF wireless communication to report opening and tampering events to the system hub. It is powered by a preinstalled CR123A 3 V battery providing long service life and supports connection of a wired external contact for third‑party detectors. Built-in reed switches detect opening and closing, and an accelerometer senses vertical tilt, impacts and vibrations to register attempts to force or manipulate the protected entry.

How to use

Mount the sensor and its magnet on the door or window frame and the moving leaf so that the magnetic elements align when closed, maintaining the recommended gap specified in the installation instructions. The device is supplied with the battery already installed; add it to the Ajax hub via the mobile application with a single click and follow app prompts to assign location and settings. If required, connect a wired external contact to the detector’s input according to the wiring diagram, and secure the housing on the SmartBracket to enable tamper protection.

Recommendations

Place the sensor on rigid parts of doors and windows to ensure stable magnetic contact and reliable accelerometer readings. Verify RF signal strength from the mounting point to the hub during setup and relocate either device or add a signal range extender if signal is weak. Periodically check the device status in the hub application and replace the battery when the system indicates low power.
