Dome/Igloo tent Easy Camp Rondane 3 — 3-person, polyester flysheet, aluminium poles, dark green

The Easy Camp Rondane 3 is a compact, three-person dome/igloo tent designed for cyclists and trekkers who prioritise low weight and practical functionality. The tent offers a small packed size and a stable structure, with a rear entrance for direct access to the inner tent, front ventilation to maintain airflow and a roomy front porch that doubles as covered storage.

Advantages

The Rondane 3 balances portability and comfort: at 2.9 kg and a small packed size it is easy to carry on bike tours or hikes, while the aluminium poles and dome design provide stability. Practical interior details include external hooks on the inner tent to hang gear, a drying line for small clothing items and breathable fly material with waterproof seams to keep the interior protected from weather.

Suitable for

• Lightweight bikepacking and multi-day cycling trips
• Backpacking and trekking where compact packed size matters
• Small-group camping for up to three people
• Campers needing a covered porch for wet gear or storage

When it may not be suitable

This tent is not intended for large families or groups exceeding three people. It is designed for fair to moderate weather conditions; while the fly sheet has waterproof seams and breathable properties, it is not a heavy-duty expedition tent for extreme weather or prolonged storms.

Key specifications

• Weight: 2.9 kg
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 2700 × 2400 × 1150 mm
• Fly sheet material: Polyester
• Exterior finish material: Polyester
• Pole material: Aluminium

How to use

Choose a flat, clear pitch and lay out the footprint or groundsheet. Assemble the aluminium poles and insert them into the corresponding sleeves or clips to form the dome structure, then secure the tent body to the ground with pegs. Attach the fly sheet and tension it evenly to ensure the waterproof seams perform correctly. Use the rear entrance for direct access to the inner tent and store wet items under the front porch; use the internal hooks and drying line for small items and helmets.

What to consider before purchase

• Capacity of three people and interior space may be limited for larger users or when storing lots of gear inside
• Designed for lightweight camping — not intended as an extreme-weather expedition tent
• Check packed dimensions and weight (2.9 kg) against your carrying system for bikepacking or backpacking

Recommendations

For best performance, pitch the tent tautly and angle the rainfly to allow front ventilation to function; store wet boots and larger items in the front porch and use the internal hooks and drying line to help keep sleeping areas dry and organised.
