Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Shipping & Returns

DisplayPort to HDMI cable CABLETIME CA914609 (1 m) is a passive video/audio adapter that connects a DisplayPort-equipped computer, laptop or docking station to an HDMI TV, monitor or projector. The cable supports video and audio transmission up to Ultra HD 4K (3840×2160) at 30 Hz and does not require drivers or external power.

Advantages

The cable features gold-plated contacts for stable signal transfer and corrosion resistance, an aluminum connector body and a DisplayPort latch for secure attachment. A nylon-braided jacket increases durability and resists bending, while an LED indicator shows proper connection. Plug & Play operation simplifies setup.

Suitable for

  • Connecting desktop PCs or laptops with DisplayPort output to HDMI monitors or TVs
  • Presentations with projectors that accept HDMI input
  • Extending or mirroring screens for streaming video and general multimedia use
  • Workstations and docking stations that need a simple passive adapter solution

Key specifications

  • Model: CABLETIME CA914609
  • Connector 1: DisplayPort (M); Connector 2: HDMI (M)
  • Supported resolution: 4K (3840×2160) @ 30 Hz
  • Signal type: digital audio/video
  • Cable length: 1.0 m
  • Contacts: gold-plated; connector body: aluminum
  • Sheath: PVC with nylon braided jacket; color: black
  • Direction: DisplayPort → HDMI (not bi-directional)
  • Warranty: 12 months

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end to the source device and the HDMI end to the display, TV or projector. Press the release button when unplugging the DisplayPort connector to disengage the latch. After connection, configure the computer display settings to mirror or extend the desktop as required. No drivers or external power supply are needed.

Recommendations

Use the cable for one-way conversion from DisplayPort output to HDMI input only. For 4K@30Hz performance, ensure the source device’s DisplayPort output supports the required resolution and set the display settings accordingly. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling to preserve the braided jacket and internal conductors.
