Set of two DIGITUS CAT 7 connection modules designed for Cat7 cabling. Each compact module comes in a black ABS housing and measures 80×35×26 mm. The modules provide a way to extend shielded data cables or to replace damaged cable sections without redoing entire runs, and they are intended for high-speed Ethernet installations in homes, offices and network closets. LSA termination technology with 45° angled contacts simplifies installation and ensures reliable contact quality for Cat7-capable cabling systems.

How to use

Prepare the shielded data cable by stripping outer jacket and exposing the foil/shield as required for proper grounding. Follow the color codes on the LSA strip for EIA/TIA 568 A or B and insert each conductor into the corresponding position. Use a suitable LSA cutting tool to terminate the conductors cleanly into the strip and ensure the integrated strain relief grips the cable. If shielded, connect the cable shield to the module’s shielding point to maintain continuity. Insert the terminated module into the required mounting location (surface-mounted or flush-mounted) and connect the RJ45 socket to the mating connector to restore network continuity.

Recommendations

Use a Krone/LSA-compatible punchdown tool for clean terminations and verify continuity and pair integrity with network test equipment after installation. Maintain shield continuity by correctly terminating cable drain wires to the module shielding. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the termination and use appropriate strain relief and cable routing to ensure long-term performance.
