The FNIRSI LCR-ST1 is a compact handheld digital tweezer LCR meter for quick testing of surface-mount and small electronic components. It measures resistance, capacitance, inductance, ESR and performs diode and continuity checks. The device offers three test frequencies (100 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz), two test voltage levels (0.3 V and 0.6 V RMS), interchangeable gold-plated tweezer tips and a USB-C interface for charging and data export. The meter is suitable for laboratory, service and production environments where fast, non-destructive component diagnostics are required.

Advantages

The meter features automatic component recognition that displays primary and auxiliary parameters without manual mode switching. It shows extended parameters such as quality factor (Q), loss factor (D), impedance (Z), reactance (X) and equivalent series resistance (ESR). A 1.14" color display presents two measurement parameters simultaneously, while intuitive controls, a side dial and data storage with USB export improve workflow. Interchangeable straight and curved tips and a built-in magnet increase versatility and convenience in confined or metallic work areas.

Suitable for

  • Servicing and repair of electronic devices and SMD components
  • Component identification and sorting in production and prototyping
  • Bench testing in electronics laboratories and workshops

Key specifications

  • Display: 1.14" color screen
  • Measured parameters: R, L, C, ESR, Q, D, Z, X, diode test, continuity
  • Test frequencies: 100 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz
  • Test voltage levels: 0.3 V and 0.6 V RMS
  • Capacitance measurement range: 1 pF to 22 mF (ranges and accuracies vary by frequency)
  • Inductance measurement range: 1 µH to 10 H (ranges and accuracies vary by frequency)
  • Resistance measurement range: 10 mΩ to 10 MΩ (ranges and accuracies vary by frequency)
  • Power: 250 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, USB-C charging (5 V, 1 A)
  • Dimensions: 28 × 19 × 150 mm; Weight: 41 g

How to use

Power on the meter and connect the USB-C cable if charging is required. Open the tweezer tips, place the SMD component between the gold-plated contacts and allow the device to automatically detect the component type; the main and auxiliary measurement parameters will appear on the screen. Use the side dial and front buttons to change display options, select frequency or lock measurements as needed. Store measurements to memory and export recorded data to a computer via the USB connection for further analysis.

Recommendations

For accurate results, ensure clean contact surfaces on component leads and tweezer tips; avoid measuring energized circuits. Select an appropriate test frequency for the target component class (higher frequencies for small capacitances and inductances). Charge the internal battery before prolonged use and use the magnetic stand to secure the meter on metal surfaces when needed.
