4 Signals over 1 Coaxial Cable
HDCVI technology supports 4 signals to be transmitted over 1 coaxial cable simultaneously, i.e. video, audio*, data and power. Dual-way data transmission allows the HDCVI camera to interact with the XVR, such as sending control signal or triggering alarm. Moreover, HDCVI technology supports PoC for construction flexibility.

Long Distance Transmission
HDCVI technology guarantees real-time transmission at long distance without any loss. It supports up to 700 m for 5MP HD video via coaxial cable, and up to 300 m via UTP cable.*

Smart IR
The camera is designed with IR LED illumination for best lowlight performance. Smart IR is a technology to ensure brightness uniformity in B/W image under low illumination. Dahua unique Smart IR adjusts to the intensity of camera's infrared LEDs to compensate for the distance of an object, and prevents IR LEDs from overexposing images as the object comes closer to the camera.

Wide Dynamic Range

Advanced 3DNR
3DNR is noise reduction technology that detects and eliminates random noises by comparing two sequential frames. How to use

Install the camera on a stable ceiling, wall or pole bracket using appropriate fasteners for the mounting surface and route the coaxial cable to the recorder or power source. Connect video, power and data over the coaxial cable according to the HDCVI setup, and configure the recorder or camera OSD for resolution, exposure, WDR and IR settings. Position the camera to cover the intended field of view and verify focus and IR performance in low-light conditions. If the installation supports audio, connect the audio input where applicable and confirm audio transmission on the recorder.

Recommendations

For reliable long-distance transmission, use quality RG59/6 coaxial cable and follow Dahua guidelines for maximum cable lengths. Clean the camera window periodically and verify seals and cable entry points to maintain IP67 protection. When deploying in extreme climates, verify power stability and consider surge protection to match the camera’s ±30% input tolerance and 4 kV lightning protection rating.
