Cycling helmet HJC Calido S — in-mold, 280 g, 51–56 cm, 4 vents, SELFIT™ adjustment, black

HJC Calido S is a unisex urban and recreational cycling helmet sized for head circumferences 51–56 cm. Built with in-mold construction, it combines a lightweight EPS core with a durable outer shell to provide impact protection while keeping overall weight to approximately 280 g. The model features four ventilation openings for airflow, a buckle clasp and a 5-step SELFIT™ adjustment system for a secure and personalized fit. The helmet does not include a visor and is intended for adult use in everyday cycling and light recreational riding. Store the helmet dry and away from heat to preserve performance.

Advantages

The in-mold construction reduces weight while maintaining structural integrity, making the HJC Calido S comfortable for extended wear. The SELFIT™ 5-step fitting mechanism allows incremental size adjustment to achieve stable positioning on different head shapes within the 51–56 cm range. With just four vents, the helmet balances ventilation and coverage for urban cycling, where moderate airflow and protection are priorities. A simple buckle clasp provides quick fastening and release for routine use.

How to use

Place the helmet on the head so it sits level and covers the forehead without tilting backward. Use the SELFIT™ 5-step adjustment to fine-tune the internal fit until the helmet feels secure but not tight. Fasten the buckle clasp and adjust the side straps so they form a Y-shape just below the ear; tighten the chin strap so two fingers can fit between the strap and the chin. Before each ride, check that the helmet is free of visible damage, that the adjustment system holds position, and that straps and buckles function correctly.

Recommendations

Store the helmet in a dry place and protect it from heat. Replace the helmet after any significant impact or if it shows cracks, compression of the inner foam, or damage to the retention system. Clean the helmet with mild soap and water; avoid solvent-based cleaners.
