Curling iron GHD Chronos Curve Grand Tong 32 mm barrel – professional curling tool for long-lasting curls

The GHD Chronos Curve Grand Tong 32 mm barrel is a professional curling iron designed to create long-lasting curls and smooth waves for medium to long hair. This styling tool delivers controlled heat and consistent temperature across the barrel to help shape hair into defined curls while reducing frizz and maintaining shine. The 32 mm barrel size balances curl definition and soft, natural-looking volume, making it suitable for both everyday styles and more polished looks for events.

Advantages

The 32 mm barrel allows formation of medium-sized curls and loose waves with a uniform heat profile to support even styling. The design supports reduced frizz and enhanced shine by sealing the hair cuticle during styling. Easy-to-handle construction and a length suited to longer hair sections make the tool practical for salon or home use. The device provides consistent heat delivery to produce repeatable results across different hair types within the recommended length range.

Suitable for

• Creating medium-sized curls and loose waves on medium to long hair
• Adding volume and body to straight or slightly wavy hair
• Daily styling routines and special occasion looks
• Styling that requires reduced frizz and a smooth finish

Key specifications

• Barrel diameter: 32 mm for medium curls and waves
• Professional-grade heating system for stable temperature
• Suitable hair lengths: medium to long
• Ergonomic handle for comfortable styling sessions
• Finish that promotes shine and smoother hair surface

How to use

Work with clean, dry hair. Section hair into manageable parts and wrap individual sections around the 32 mm barrel, holding each section for a few seconds according to hair thickness and desired curl tightness. Release the hair gently and allow curls to cool before styling to set the shape. For looser waves, use larger sections and shorter hold time; for more defined curls, use smaller sections and increase hold time slightly. Use heat protection on hair before styling to minimise heat-related damage.

Recommendations

For best results, use on dry, detangled hair and select section sizes that match the desired curl size. Finish with a light-hold spray or serum to lock in shape and reduce flyaways. Regularly clean the barrel according to manufacturer guidance to maintain even heat performance.
