Colored Pencils Faber-Castell Goldfaber Aqua 36 pc(s)

Faber-Castell Goldfaber Aqua coloured pencils, set of 36, feature soft, fully water-soluble leads that deliver intense colour laydown and excellent colour brilliance in both dry and wet techniques. The pencils allow all standard dry drawing techniques of colour pencils and, when activated with a wet brush, transform drawn motifs into watercolour-like paintings. The lead is manufactured using advanced production technology and offers very good lightfastness.

Advantages

Soft, easy-to-blend leads provide smooth application and rich pigments. Fully water-soluble formula enables controlled watercolour effects with a brush while retaining strong colour brilliance. Good lightfastness preserves colour intensity over time. The 36-colour assortment offers a wide palette for detailed work, blending and shading.

How to use

Use the pencils dry for conventional coloured-pencil techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching and layering. To create watercolour effects, apply colour on paper then soften and blend strokes with a damp paintbrush; the intensity varies with water amount and brush pressure. For washes, lay down more pigment and distribute with a larger water-loaded brush. Allow layers to dry between applications when building translucent effects.

Recommendations

For best results use heavyweight or watercolour paper to prevent buckling and preserve colour luminosity. Test lightfastness of specific colours if archival permanence is required. Store pencils horizontally to maintain even pigment distribution.
