Children's casting and painting kit Ravensburger 25868 — for ages 7+, boxed craft set

Ravensburger 25868 is a boxed children's casting and painting kit for ages 7 and up. The set includes reusable molds, casting material and painting supplies designed to let children create and decorate cast figures with a horse motif. Intended for home or classroom use, the kit supports step-by-step creative activities that practise fine motor skills, basic painting techniques and collaborative craft work.

Advantages

The kit supplies pre-shaped molds and a selection of painting and decorating materials so users can focus on design and colour rather than preparation. Materials are organised to simplify the casting and painting process, reducing setup time and making the activity accessible for beginners. The horse theme and coordinated components encourage shared projects and cooperative work while supporting individual expression and skill development.

Suitable for

• Home crafting and family art sessions with children aged 7 and older
• School art classes, after-school clubs and group projects
• Workshops, therapy groups or community centre creative activities
• Birthday parties or events where multiple participants decorate complementary figures

• Age recommendation: 7 years and up
• Theme: horse motifs for casting and decorating
• Contents: casting molds, casting compound, paints and decorating materials
• Packaging: boxed craft set designed for shared or individual use

How to use

Work on a flat, protected surface. Mix the casting compound according to the enclosed instructions and pour it into the provided molds. Allow casts to set fully before removing them from the molds. Use the included paints and decorative materials to colour and personalise the cast figures, allowing paint to dry between layers. Combine individual painted pieces into a coordinated display or keep them as separate finished items.

Recommendations

Protect work surfaces with newspaper or a disposable table covering and use washable paints where possible. Supervise children during mixing and when handling small decorative elements. Plan activities in manageable time blocks to allow for setting and drying of casts and paint.
