CHERRY XS Touchpad G84-5500 keyboard Office USB AZERTY French Black

The CHERRY XS Touchpad G84-5500 is a full-size wired keyboard with an integrated touchpad, designed for office environments. It uses mechanical key switches, offers an AZERTY French layout with 89 keys, and connects via a 2.5 m USB cable. The black finish and built-in touchpad combine keyboard functionality with precise cursor control in a single compact unit.

Advantages

The mechanical switches provide reliable tactile feedback and a defined actuation point suitable for extended typing sessions. The large integrated touchpad with two mouse keys enables precise pointer control without a separate mouse, while the long 2.5 m USB cable allows flexible workstation placement. The full-size layout preserves standard key spacing and a numeric block for data entry.

Suitable for

• Office typing and data entry
• Workstations where desk space is limited or a separate mouse is inconvenient
• French-language environments requiring an AZERTY layout

When it may not be suitable

This keyboard is not ideal for users who require a compact or ultra-portable solution, as it is a full-size model. It may also be unsuitable for those who prefer non-AZERTY layouts or need an integrated pointing device with more advanced features such as multi-touch gestures or a dedicated scroll wheel.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure AZERTY (French) layout meets your language and key placement needs
• Confirm a wired USB connection and 2.5 m cable length suit your workspace setup
• Decide if the integrated touchpad provides the pointer functionality you need compared with a separate mouse

Recommendations

Place the keyboard centrally on your desk to maximize ergonomics and use the full 2.5 m cable to position the computer or docking station for a comfortable posture. Adjust touchpad sensitivity in the operating system for preferred pointer speed.
