Cable Lock Mobilis 001262 Silver 1.8m 2 Keys

The MOBILIS Cable Lock 001262 in silver is a 1.8 m steel security cable designed to secure laptops and other portable devices. With a 3.5 mm cable diameter and two supplied keys, this cable lock offers a straightforward mechanical solution to deter opportunistic theft and provide a visible physical anchor point for devices in workspaces, classrooms, cafés, and public areas.

Advantages

The steel construction and silver finish deliver a durable, corrosion-resistant exterior suitable for everyday use. The 3.5 mm cable thickness balances flexibility and strength for easy routing around fixed objects while resisting casual tampering. Two keys are included to allow multiple authorized users or a spare key for safer key management. The 1.8 m length provides sufficient reach to secure devices to a wide range of fixtures.

Suitable for

• Securing laptops and slim notebooks with compatible security slots
• Temporary device protection in offices, classrooms, libraries, and shared spaces
• Anchoring portable devices to desks, tables, or fixed furniture

How to use

Insert the lock head into the compatible security slot on the laptop or device and turn the key to engage the locking mechanism. Loop the cable around a secure, immovable object such as a table leg or fixed anchor point, then return the lock head to the device and lock. Keep the spare key in a safe place or provide it to an authorized second user. Regularly inspect the cable and lock for signs of wear or damage and replace if compromised.

Recommendations

Use the cable lock as part of a layered security approach: combine physical locking with device-level protections such as password access, full-disk encryption, and tracking software. Avoid leaving devices unattended in high-risk locations even when locked, and store keys separately from the secured device.
