Women's approach shoes Scarpa Mescalito - conifer/gray size: 41

Built for technical terrain where precision and protection matter, the Scarpa Mescalito women's approach shoes blend the agility of a climbing shoe with the support of a hiking boot. The water-resistant suede upper with GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry through stream crossings and morning dew, while the Vibram Dynamis LB outsole with Megagrip compound delivers confident traction on rock slabs, scree, and muddy paths. A full rubber rand and dedicated climbing zone at the toe allow secure edging and smearing on via ferrata and scrambling routes. The dual-density EVA midsole cushions impact on long descents, and the extended lacing system lets you fine-tune fit from toe to ankle. Inside, the Ortholite footbed adds all-day comfort and breathability. At just 315 g per shoe (EU 38), the Mescalito feels light on the foot yet robust enough for multi-pitch approaches and light alpine hikes. The conifer/gray colorway is understated and trail-ready. Sock-Fit construction wraps the foot snugly, reducing bulk and hot spots, while Litebase technology shaves outsole weight without compromising grip. Whether you're linking pitches or hiking to a remote crag, this shoe provides the confidence to move fast over mixed ground.

In daily use

The Mescalito excels on long approaches where you carry a rope and rack. The GORE-TEX lining keeps feet dry when trails are damp, and the Megagrip outsole sticks to polished limestone and wet roots. The climbing zone lets you confidently edge on small holds, while the suede upper resists abrasion from rock. The extended lacing system lets you loosen the forefoot for hiking comfort or cinch it down for technical sections. The women's-specific fit is narrower in the heel and lower volume over the instep, reducing slippage. On descents, the dual-density EVA absorbs shock, and the Ortholite footbed prevents fatigue. The conifer/gray colorway hides dirt well and looks sharp from crag to pub.
