Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

The Brother HL-1110 Laser Black White is a compact single-function monochrome laser printer designed for home and small office environments. It delivers up to 20 pages per minute and supports A4 paper, offering up to 600 x 600 dpi native resolution (up to 2400 x 600 dpi with Resolution Control) and a 150-sheet input tray. The printer uses a single, easy-to-replace toner cartridge and connects via full-speed USB 2.0.

Advantages

This printer provides reliable monochrome printing with a small footprint suitable for limited workspaces. It offers steady performance at up to 20 ppm, clear text and graphics thanks to high effective resolution, and simple maintenance with 1,000-page replaceable toner cartridges. The 150-sheet capacity reduces frequent paper refills while the USB 2.0 interface ensures straightforward connection to a single workstation.

  • Home printing of documents and school materials
  • Small office printing for invoices, reports and letters
  • Environments requiring a compact monochrome printer with basic connectivity

Verdict: You aren't going to be using the Brother for massive quantities of printing. Neither is it overladen with features. But for the occasional text print job, it'll prove a very willing accomplice. You're getting a very reliable model for an extremely low pri...

Verdict: Brother HL-1110 - Print Speeds Brother rates the HL-1110 at a very healthy 20ppm. On our long, 20-page document we saw 15.2ppm, which is over three quarters of the way there. Bear in mind, too, that we measure print speeds including preparation time, when...
