Bosch GSA 18 V-LI C Black, Blue

The Bosch 06016A5002 is a battery-powered reciprocating saw designed for general cutting tasks in wood and metal. It features a 2.1 cm stroke length and delivers a stroke rate of 3050 strokes per minute, enabling efficient material removal. The tool achieves a cutting depth up to 20 cm in wood and up to 10 cm in metal profiles. Powered by a 5 Ah Lithium-Ion battery and weighing approximately 2.5 kg, the saw combines portability with extended runtime for on-site and workshop use.

Advantages

This battery-powered saw offers high cutting performance while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. The 2.1 cm stroke length together with a high stroke rate provides effective cutting speed across different materials. A 5 Ah Lithium-Ion battery ensures longer runtime between charges, and the relatively low vibration emission of 8 m/s² contributes to more comfortable operation during extended use. Compact weight and cordless operation enhance mobility for jobs in confined spaces or where mains power is unavailable.

Suitable for

• Rough and controlled cuts in construction timber and site carpentry
• Cutting metal profiles, conduit and small structural members
• Demolition openings, removing damaged sections of framing or drywall
• Maintenance and repair work where a portable saw is required

Key specifications

• Stroke length: 2.1 cm
• Stroke rate: 3050 strokes per minute
• Maximum cutting depth in wood: 20 cm
• Maximum cutting depth in metal profiles: 10 cm
• Battery type: Lithium-Ion, capacity: 5 Ah
• Weight: approx. 2.5 kg
• Vibration emission: 8 m/s²

How to use

Install a suitable reciprocating saw blade for the material to be cut, ensuring it is secured according to the manufacturer's blade-clamping method. Charge the 5 Ah lithium-ion battery before use and insert it into the tool until it locks. Position the saw so the shoe rests against the workpiece for stable cutting, start the tool and allow the blade to reach full stroke rate before applying steady, even pressure. For metal profiles, use blades designed for metal cutting and moderate feed to avoid overheating. After cutting, release the trigger, allow the blade to stop, and remove the battery if performing blade changes or maintenance.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and gloves. Select blade type and tooth pitch matched to the material for efficient cutting and longer blade life. For prolonged work periods, keep spare charged batteries available and allow the tool to cool between sustained heavy cuts. Regularly inspect blades and the saw's shoe and clamp for wear or damage and replace parts according to Bosch maintenance guidance.
