Bosch 1 618 596 237 drill bit Hammer drill bit 1 pc(s)

The Bosch 1 618 596 237 hammer drill bit is designed for use with rotary hammers to deliver effective drilling performance in dense and reinforced materials. With a diameter of 2.4 cm, this single-piece drill bit provides a balance of rigidity and cutting efficiency for tasks that require repeated impact drilling. The geometry of the tip and the hardened shank ensure consistent penetration and long service life when used in concrete, masonry and other hard substrates.

Advantages

This hammer drill bit features a hardened construction that resists wear during intensive use and maintains cutting performance over time. Its diameter offers a stable bore size for installing anchors, through-fixing and pipe penetrations. Compatible with standard rotary hammer chucks, the bit provides reliable coupling and reduced wobble during operation. The straightforward single-piece design simplifies handling and storage.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in concrete and reinforced concrete for anchors and dowels
• Creating passages for plumbing and electrical conduits through masonry
• Preparing holes for heavy-duty fasteners and fixtures in structural work
• General construction and renovation tasks requiring impact drilling

Key specifications

• Type: hammer drill bit for rotary hammers
• Diameter: 2.4 cm
• Material: hardened steel cutting head and shank
• Design: single-piece construction for rigidity
• Intended substrates: concrete, masonry and similar hard materials

How to use

Select a rotary hammer compatible with the drill bit and ensure the chuck or SDS interface is clean and undamaged. Secure the bit in the tool according to the hammer drill manufacturer’s instructions, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection). Mark the drilling point, start at low speed to position the tip, then apply steady pressure and allow the hammer action to advance the bit. Withdraw periodically to clear dust and reduce heat buildup, and finish the hole with a light pass if greater accuracy is required.

Recommendations

Use this Bosch hammer drill bit for impact drilling into concrete and masonry; avoid applying excessive side force and ensure correct tool-bit matching to prolong bit life. For reinforced concrete where rebar is encountered, reduce feed pressure and use intermittent drilling to avoid damage.
