The BlueOptics S+AO0005-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable is a 5 m active optical cable with SFP+ male-to-male connectors designed for 10GBASE-SR applications. This pre-assembled SFP+–SFP+ AOC uses multi-mode fiber with integrated transmitter and receiver modules on each end to carry optical signals for Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet or SDH/SONET links at up to 10 Gbit/s over a 5 meter distance. The cable implements MSA-compliant SFP+ electrical and mechanical interfaces and supports digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time reporting of supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit power, receive power and temperature, provided the host hardware supports these features.
