The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-7M-CN-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 7 metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors on both ends and OM3 multimode fibre. Designed for short-range, high-speed interconnects in data centres and high-performance computing, this cable supports 100GBASE-SR4 Ethernet and provides converterized QSFP28 transceivers that transform electrical signals to optical and back for reliable 100 Gbit/s links between switches, servers and network appliances. The cable uses a 50 µm core diameter multimode fibre and a flame-retardant LSZH outer sheath to reduce smoke and halogen emission in case of fire.
