The BlueOptics Q28-AOC-25M-CI-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 25m OM3 is an active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors on both ends designed for short-range 100G high-speed links. It uses OM3 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and integrates I/O and O/E conversion in the QSFP28 modules to deliver optical transmission between devices inside a rack or between adjacent racks. The cable features a flame-resistant LSZH outer jacket and is intended for high-performance computing and data centre interconnects where reduced weight, improved flexibility and a small bend radius are required.

Advantages

The product provides 100GBASE-SR4 compatible transmission over a 25 m reach while keeping lower weight and greater flexibility compared with direct-attach twinax solutions. QSFP28 transceiver connectors conform to MSA and SFF/IEEE form-factor standards and include built-in electrical-to-optical and optical-to-electrical conversion for hot-pluggable operation.
