How to use

Connect the ADA8200 to your ADAT-equipped interface or mixer via the TOSLINK optical cable for digital transfer of up to eight channels. For analog recording, plug microphones or line sources into the MIDAS-designed mic preamps using XLR or TRS/TS inputs as appropriate, set the unit’s clocking mode to match your system (internal or external), and route outputs from the rear-panel XLR connectors to your recorder, interface, or mixing console. Recommendations

When integrating with other ADAT devices, ensure a single, stable word clock source. Avoid known compatibility configurations with certain MOTU 2408 setups: do not run the MOTU 2408 in PCI Mode via a MOTU PCI-424 card while the ADA8200 is set to SYNC = SLAVE and receives clock from the MOTU 2408 with the ADA8200 optical output connected to the MOTU ADAT input.
