Barcode sled reader Socket Mobile DURASLED DS840 for iPhone 15 — pack of 6 units

The Socket Mobile DURASLED DS840 is a barcode sled reader designed to attach to iPhone 15 devices, providing a hands-free scanning solution for businesses that require reliable mobile data capture. This pack contains six DS840 units to outfit multiple users or devices at once. The sled mounts directly onto the phone, aligning the barcode sensor with typical scanning workflows and enabling quick capture of 1D and 2D barcodes commonly used in retail, inventory management and field service operations.

Advantages

The DS840 sled offers stable physical attachment to the iPhone 15, reducing the need to hold a separate scanner while performing tasks. By integrating with the phone, it preserves mobile connectivity and application access while delivering fast barcode decoding. Bundling six units simplifies deployment for teams, standardizes scanning hardware across users, and reduces setup time for new staff or temporary projects.

Suitable for

• Retail point-of-sale and shelf restocking
• Inventory counting and stock management
• Warehouse picking and shipping verification
• Field service data capture and asset tracking
• Event registration and ticket validation

Key specifications

• Compatibility: designed specifically for use with iPhone 15 form factor
• Barcode support: rapid capture of common 1D and 2D barcode symbologies
• Connection: attaches directly to the smartphone; uses the phone as host for apps and connectivity
• Form factor: slim sled that preserves access to phone display and controls when mounted
• Pack size: set of six identical sled readers supplied together for multi-device deployment

How to use

Align the DS840 sled with the iPhone 15 according to the sled’s mounting guides and secure it until it locks into place. Open the intended data capture or point-of-sale application on the phone; the phone serves as the interface for settings, connectivity and data transmission. Position the barcode in front of the sled’s scanning window and allow the reader to capture the code; the decoded data will appear in the active app field or database as configured. Remove or reattach the sled as needed for device sharing or maintenance.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, ensure the sled stays clean and free of debris on the scanning window, keep the phone’s camera area unobstructed, and use compatible apps that accept scanned input. When deploying multiple units, verify each sled’s physical fit on the iPhone 15 and test scanning on representative barcodes used in your workflow before full-scale use.
