Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

DEUTER Aircontact Core 55+10 SL is a 55-litre expandable trekking backpack engineered for multi-day hikes and loaded travel. The SL women's fit combines a contoured back length and shoulder harness with Aircontact foam padding to improve load transfer and comfort. An adjustable 10-litre extension collar increases capacity when needed. The pack offers multiple access points, a supportive hip belt, compression straps and attachment loops for trekking poles and additional gear, designed to balance carrying comfort and organisation on extended outdoor trips.

Advantages

The pack's Aircontact padding distributes weight evenly across the back and hip belt to reduce pressure points and improve stability on uneven terrain. The SL-specific geometry provides a shorter, contoured back and narrower shoulder straps for improved fit on women's bodies. Expandable volume via the extension collar and well-placed compression straps allow flexible packing and secure load shaping. Multiple access points and external attachment loops increase practicality for organising gear without needing to unpack the main compartment.

How to use

Adjust the shoulder straps and hip belt to achieve balanced load distribution, positioning the hip belt so most of the pack weight rests on the hips. Use the extension collar when extra capacity is required and secure the load with compression straps to prevent shifting. Store frequently used items in external pockets or accessible compartments, and attach trekking poles or other equipment to the dedicated loops. Regularly check and fine-tune strap tensions while on the move to maintain comfort and stability.

Recommendations

For extended trips, pack heavier items close to the back and centered over the hips to optimise balance. Use the compression straps to stabilise the load and reduce sway. Ensure the SL back length suits your torso measurement before long journeys to maximise comfort and prevent fatigue.
