How to use

Mount the 3.5" SATA HDD on the supplied guides, insert the drive into the enclosure so the SATA connector engages, and fasten the front panel with the two supplied screws using the included screwdriver. Connect the USB-B cable from the enclosure to a computer USB-A port and plug the external 12 V/2.5 A power adapter into mains and the enclosure. The device supports hot-plugging and installs automatically on supported operating systems; no additional drivers are required. Use the power switch on the rear panel to turn the enclosure on or off.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect the enclosure to a USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 Gen 1 port and use drives that support UASP. Place the aluminium enclosure in a ventilated area to allow heat dissipation. Use the HDD auto spindown feature to reduce power consumption when the drive is idle and safely eject the device from the operating system before disconnecting to avoid data loss.
