Avigilon 2MP H6A Bullet IR Camera — 2.0 MP, H6A series, bullet form factor, IR illumination

The Avigilon 2MP H6A Bullet IR Camera is a network bullet camera from the H6A series that delivers 2.0 megapixel resolution and integrated infrared illumination for reliable day and night monitoring. Built in a bullet form factor, the camera is suitable for indoor and outdoor mounting and is intended for IP video surveillance applications where consistent 2MP image capture and IR support are required. The design supports standard network connectivity and on-camera features common to Avigilon H6A devices for general CCTV and perimeter monitoring.

Advantages

The camera provides 2.0 MP resolution for clear identification at typical CCTV distances and includes integrated IR illumination to sustain image capture in low-light and no-light conditions. Its bullet housing simplifies directional installation and weather-exposed placement. Network operation enables remote viewing and integration with IP video management systems. The H6A platform offers a balance of image quality and compact hardware suitable for continuous surveillance tasks.

Suitable for

• Perimeter security and fence-line monitoring
• Entrance and doorway observation
• Parking lots and driveway surveillance
• Retail and small commercial site CCTV
• General indoor and outdoor video monitoring where 2MP resolution is sufficient

Key specifications

• Optical resolution: 2.0 megapixels
• Form factor: bullet-style camera suitable for wall or ceiling mounting
• Illumination: integrated infrared (IR) illumination for night-time imaging
• Operation: network (IP) camera for integration with video management systems
• Functionality: day/night operation with automatic switching between color and IR modes

How to use

Install the camera in a location that provides an unobstructed view of the monitored area, using a stable mount appropriate for the bullet form factor. Connect the device to the network according to standard IP camera installation practices and configure network settings, user access, and image parameters through the supporting management software. Aim the camera to cover the intended field of view and adjust focus and exposure settings as needed to optimize image clarity in typical lighting conditions. Verify IR operation in low-light situations and confirm recordings or live streams through the chosen video management system.

Recommendations

For best results, mount the camera at a height and angle that minimizes glare and direct sunlight in the lens, ensure the IR illumination has a clear path to the target area, and use a compatible video management system for recording, event management, and remote access. Periodically clean the lens and housing to maintain image quality and check firmware updates to keep device performance and security current.
