How to use

Confirm the UPS model is listed as compatible with the RBC4 (see APC support resources for the compatible UPS models list). Power down the UPS according to the manufacturer instructions, disconnect it from mains and the load, then remove the existing battery cartridge. Install the APC RBC4 in the battery compartment, reconnect the battery connectors and reassemble the UPS. Follow the UPS startup procedure and verify normal operation and full charge status before returning protected equipment to service.

Recommendations

Store and operate the battery within the environmental conditions specified by APC. Replace the battery every three to five years or sooner if the UPS indicates battery degradation. Recycle used lead-acid batteries according to local regulations.
