AnyCubic PETG Filament Gray 1 kg is a 1.75 mm PETG filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers. It combines the ease of printing typical for PLA with mechanical strength and chemical resistance closer to ABS, giving durable parts for everyday and more demanding applications. The material offers high impact resistance and good resistance to water, weather and many common chemicals, which makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor functional prints.

Advantages

PETG provides reliable layer adhesion with reduced warping compared with ABS, maintains gloss and dimensional stability over time, and resists substances such as gasoline, detergents and cosmetics. The spool is reusable and features a threaded connection to reduce tangles. An identification chip enables automatic recognition of print settings with compatible AnyCubic equipment for faster setup.

Suitable for

  • Functional prototypes and mechanical parts
  • Enclosures and housings
  • Toys and everyday items requiring impact resistance
  • Outdoor components exposed to moisture and weather

When it may not be suitable

PETG is less rigid than some engineering plastics and may not be the best choice when the highest stiffness or heat resistance is required. Although it resists many chemicals, it is not suitable for continuous exposure to strong acids or aggressive solvents.

Key specifications

  • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
  • Net weight: 1 kg
  • Recommended nozzle diameter: 0.2 mm or larger
  • Nozzle temperature: 230–250°C
  • Build plate temperature: 60–70°C
  • Recommended print speed: 50–250 mm/s
  • Density: 1.23 g/cm³
  • Material flow rate: 25 ± 3 g/10 min
  • Melting temperature: 130°C
  • Heat deflection temperature: 72°C
  • Deformation resistance: 69°C
  • Moisture absorption: 0.40%
  • Material stiffness: 1850 ± 100 MPa
  • Tensile strength (X-Y): 52 ± 1 MPa
  • Tensile strength (Z): 31 ± 3 MPa
  • Elongation at break: 13 ± 1%
  • Flexural stiffness: 2000 ± 50 MPa
  • Flexural strength: 80 ± 2 MPa
  • Impact resistance (X-Y): 45 ± 2 kJ/m²

How to use

Dry the filament before printing and store it in a low-humidity environment to avoid moisture uptake and air bubbles. Load the 1.75 mm filament into your FDM/FFF printer, set the nozzle temperature to 230–250°C and the heated bed to 60–70°C. Use a nozzle diameter of 0.2 mm or larger and tune print speed within 50–250 mm/s depending on model complexity. If available, use AnyCubic ACE Pro to allow automatic profile recognition from the spool chip.

What to consider before purchase

  • Confirm printer compatibility with 1.75 mm filament and required nozzle/bed temperature ranges
  • Plan for filament drying (recommended 55–65°C for 8–10 hours) if it has absorbed moisture
  • Check whether automatic profile recognition with AnyCubic ACE Pro is needed
  • Consider required mechanical properties such as tensile strength, stiffness and impact resistance for your application

Recommendations

For best results, store the spool in a sealed container with desiccant, dry the filament before printing if humid, and use the recommended temperatures and a heated bed to ensure consistent extrusion and good interlayer adhesion.
