tesa® 4662 is a strong black duct tape with a 27 mesh woven PET/cotton fabric backing and a natural rubber adhesive. The roll measures 50 mm x 50 m and is designed for closing, fastening, packaging and repairing tasks on a variety of substrates including brick, metal, polycarbonate, polypropylene and wood. The tape offers a balance of conformability and strength with an elongation at break of 18% and a tensile strength of 30 N/mm², and it resists temperatures up to 95 °C.

How to use

Clean and dry the surface before application to ensure best adhesion. Measure and cut the required length, then press the tape firmly onto the substrate, smoothing out wrinkles and air pockets. For corners and uneven surfaces, apply with firm pressure and conform the tape to the shape. For long-term or high-temperature applications, verify compatibility with the substrate and operating conditions.

Recommendations

For optimal performance use at moderate temperatures and on clean, dry surfaces. Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. When used on dusty or highly porous substrates, consider pre-cleaning or priming to improve adhesion.
