ADATA HD680 external hard drive 2 TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) Black

The ADATA HD680 external hard drive (2TB, USB 3.2 Gen 1) combines large capacity with a rugged design to protect your data during travel. Its triple-layer construction, shock sensors and AES 256-bit encryption provide physical and digital protection, while a built-in groove stores the detachable USB cable for convenient transport.

Advantages

The HD680 meets the U.S. Military MIL-STD-810G 516.6 standard and survives drops from up to 1.22 meters thanks to a shock-absorbing silicone casing, a sturdy buffer and a cushioned mounting for the drive. It offers up to 2TB of storage and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface for fast transfers. The unit also features shock-detection indicators and AES 256-bit encryption to keep data password-protected.

Suitable for

• Portable storage of large files — photos, 4K video, backups
• Users who need a rugged external HDD for travel or field work
• Securing sensitive files with hardware-grade AES 256-bit encryption

Monitor the red shock indicator; if it lights up after an impact, check the drive for errors and run a disk health utility.

Recommendations

Use USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for optimal transfer speeds, safely eject the drive before disconnecting to avoid data corruption, and keep regular backups. If the shock indicator activates, verify drive integrity before continuing to store critical data.
