How to use

Place the JBL LSR310S near your monitoring position or where it best integrates with your main studio monitors, taking room acoustics into account. Connect the subwoofer to your monitor outputs using balanced or unbalanced connections as supported by your audio interface or monitor controller. Set the crossover frequency to match the low-frequency roll-off of your main monitors and use the phase control to reduce cancellation and achieve a smooth transition between monitors and subwoofer. Adjust level and fine-tune settings while listening to reference material to ensure accurate bass balance in the mix.

Recommendations

For consistent results, start with a conservative crossover setting and adjust the subwoofer level while monitoring familiar tracks. Position the subwoofer away from room corners when possible to avoid excessive bass buildup, and re-evaluate phase and crossover after any change in monitor placement or room treatment.
