The ESAB OK 61.30 is a 3.2 mm diameter electrode, 350 mm long, supplied in a 1.7 kg pack. It is classified as E316L-17 per AWS and EN ISO 3581-A E 19 12 3 L R 12, suitable for AC and DC+ currents in all positions except vertical down.

Advantages

Rutile coating ensures a stable arc, fine droplet transfer, and self-releasing slag, minimizing post-weld cleaning. The low carbon content (<0.03%) reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, while the molybdenum addition improves pitting resistance in chloride environments. Recommendations

For optimal results, use DC+ polarity with a short arc and maintain a travel angle of 70–80°. Preheat is not required for thicknesses up to 10 mm; for thicker sections, preheat to 100–150°C. Interpass temperature should not exceed 150°C to preserve corrosion resistance. Store electrodes in a dry place and re-dry at 250–300°C for 2 hours if exposed to moisture.
