Fischer 53093 Brown 310 ml is a neutral silicone sealant formulated for sealing and bonding in building and repair applications. The product is supplied in a 310 ml cartridge and is suitable for use on ceramic, concrete, glass, masonry, metal, PVC, many plastics and wood. It cures to a flexible brown seal with good adhesion and retains properties across a wide temperature range from -40 °C to 150 °C. Typical applications include joints, seams and penetrations where a weather-resistant, flexible seal is required.

How to use

Apply the sealant from the cartridge using a compatible caulking gun. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease or loose particles. Cut the cartridge tip to the desired bead size and apply a continuous bead into the joint or seam. Tool the sealant within the skin formation time to obtain a smooth finish and ensure contact with joint faces. Allow the sealant to fully cure according to ambient temperature and humidity; full mechanical properties are achieved after complete cure.

Recommendations

For best results, store cartridges at moderate temperature and protect from frost before use. Test adhesion on unfamiliar plastics prior to application. Do not apply to surfaces that bleed oils or plasticizers. Use appropriate joint dimensions and backing materials where required to control sealant thickness and movement capacity.
