ABAX 2 wireless system controller ACU-280 provides two-way, encrypted (AES) communication in the 868 MHz band and ensures that all radio transmissions between components of the ABAX 2 system are acknowledged. The module is compatible with INTEGRA, INTEGRA Plus and VERSA control panels, allowing wireless devices to be added to the alarm system. Its compact size requires little installation space and the device complies with EN 50131 Grade 2. The ACU-280 operates from a 12 V DC supply and has compact dimensions 24 mm (W) × 29 mm (D) × 135 mm (H).

How to use

Install the ACU-280 in the control panel enclosure or a suitable location with access to 12 V DC power, ensuring adequate radio reception. Enrol the module with a compatible INTEGRA or VERSA control panel following the panel manufacturer’s procedure. Program the controller parameters from the control panel, a keypad or using the DLOADX software. Use ABAX 2 Soft for detailed diagnostics and to review radio network status. Perform firmware updates and device testing remotely over radio without dismounting the wireless devices.

Recommendations

Place the controller where it has the clearest radio path possible to the wireless devices; avoid metal enclosures and strong sources of interference. Verify range and signal levels during installation and use ABAX 2 Soft for network diagnostics and firmware management.
