After more than one year of very hard work, we can finally say that DistriNode is live and ready to work properly for you. It took a lot of late nights, testing, rebuilding and fixing small things again and again to make the catalogue, stock, prices and website work the way you see it now.

We are currently a team of 9 people. Between us we have many years of experience in wholesale and retail trade, computers, PC components, software development, IT systems and electronics. We are not a giant company trying to look personal. We are a real team trying to build something strong, honest and useful in South Africa.

We understand that trust is a very sensitive thing, especially when buying online. Because of that, we do not want to ask for unnecessary upfront payments for normal orders. For expensive or special-order products we may ask for a small deposit of a few hundred rand, just so we can see that the order intention is serious. We think this is a fair balance for both sides.

Right now we have integrated 54 large distributors from around the world, both in South Africa and overseas. This is why we can show a very wide catalogue and sometimes very strong prices. Our system compares active supplier warehouses, stock and cost prices, then shows the best available price to you. Some prices may look unusual in the market, but we only sell genuine, real products from official supplier channels.

If a product has a fault or a warranty problem, we want to make the process as simple as possible. Once we receive the product back and inspect that there is no mechanical or user damage, we will work to replace it with a new one or refund you as quickly as we can, according to the product warranty and return rules. Our goal is to build something close to an Amazon Prime style experience: the customer should feel protected, listened to and respected.

For us, the most important thing is not one single order. It is your next order, your return visit and your recommendation to somebody else. Word of mouth matters more to us than any advert.

Behind the website we now run more than 100 automatic systems. These include supplier imports, stock updates, automatic price selection, chatbot conversation checks, filter audits, product audits, live search improvements and many other tools. All of this helps us keep a catalogue of more than 500,000 products alive, updated and useful. Of course, it is not perfect every second, but we keep improving it every day.
